My Top Lazy Day Essentials

Planning on staying in soon and having the ultimate lazy day? Those are the best kind of days. It’s the best feeling in the world when you feel you can finally have a day to do absolutely nothing.

For myself, I work full time, 9-5 Monday-Friday and I can’t wait for the weekends when they are finally here. But they always go so quickly. I love making plans with friends and going out for the day, but sometimes, I really just want to do nothing and have a me day. So I have decide to put together a few things which I think make the perfect lazy day.

Cosy Loungewear

Nothing says its a lazy day more than cosy loungewear, and I for one am a sucker for this kind or stuff, any excuse to wear my most comfortable lazy clothes and I am all for it. I recently bought a new loungewear set from Primark and I love them so much, super cosy! Duvet day, loungewear, hair up, no make-up = the perfect lazy day.

Treats
I don’t know about you, but when I have a lazy day I make sure I am always supplied with my favourite sugary snacks. Chocolate and popcorn are my favourites for a lazy day! I also like to indulge in drinks too, so my choices would be either hot chocolate with whipped cream and all the toppings, or a simple iced caramel latte. Perfect.

Favourite Films/Netflix

Even if I don’t sit and watch a film, I love having my favourite films in the background if I am doing other bits throughout the day when I have a lazy day. My favourite films do change all the time, at the moment they have to be Inside Out and Gone Girl at the moment. I have a couple of favourite older films too that just don’t get old for me: Little Miss Sunshine and The Perfect Man. I am also so into Netflix at the moment and seems to be the only thing I am really watching. At the moment I am loving Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries.

Pampering Essentials

Every lazy days needs a little bit of pampering. Even if this just involves having a good ol Lush bath. I love to have a Lush bath, put a face mask on, paint my nails and use my foot spa. That is the perfect pampering evening for me. It’s very important to look after yourself and make time for you.

Candles

I could not have a lazy day at all without a candle burning. I know that might sound crazy but I think I am a bit obsessed with candles. I don’t know what it is, I just love how they look and how nice they make your home smell. My favourite at the moment is my one from The White Company called Winter. It’s the perfect home, warmly scent.

Even though I would be having a lazy day, I also like to do things which I find therapeutic, that put my mind to rest,to switch off.
I love organising, whether it would be to organise my clothes and have a clear out, or my make-up, today room today mind! I also love making new playlists on Spotify. I know this one is a bit strange but I love it so much, listening to all my favourite music is like therapy for me and instantly puts me in a good mood.

What are your favourite lazy day essentials? Lazy days sound so..lazy. But we all need that time to ourselves, no matter how we spend it, just to relax.

Love always, G x

Love this! I totally wear pajamas or yoga stuff when I’m hiding away and have incense burning. I also end up curled up in bed with a book. 🙂

I’m the same as you! I work 9-5 all week so by the time the weekend swings round I like to ensure I have at least one day with nothing planned! It’s definitely necessary to recharge your batteries for the week ahead. Love a good Disney film on a Friday night too!
