The nights are getting lighter, and the days are getting warmer and brighter. I think that Spring is finally here! Well, sort of. I think it’s the same with all beauty lovers, when the seats change their makeup changes too. So it’s time to ditch the dark lipsticks and eyeshadow, and the dark nail polishes. It’s time to bring out your Spring makeup!

I love Spring makeup, as I am a proper girly girl, I love everything pink and girly and bright. Spring is the perfect time to wack out all your favourite pink/nude lipsticks and lighter eyeshadows, and the pastel coloured nail polishes, yay! So I thought you would be interested in my Spring time makeup go to’s for this season.

The Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon palette is so perfect for Spring. I recently got this for my birthday and am in love with it. It has the most perfect Spring shades from pinks, browns, nudes, and a couple of darker shades too, and the best thing is that they all smell of chocolate. You can create some really gorgeous looks with this palette. It’s so perfect for Spring and I think I will be using this most days.

The Bobbi Brown Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick is another staple of mine for this Spring. These shimmer colours in pink/nude and neutral colours are perfect for either eyeshadow, or highlighter. They will give you the perfect shimmer and glow to stand out from the crowd.

I am loving all different types of highlighter, and for Spring this is perfect as they give you a great shimmer and glow. One of my favourite champagne colour highlighters is the Mary-Lou Manizer by TheBalm. It is the perfect compact size to chuck in your bag and has a really good sized mirror in too. This highlighter really makes you shimmer and shine and gives you such a glowing healthy look. This is definitely one of my favourites.

Essie nail polishes are my favourite brand, I find for me that they hardly chip and break. Now Spring is here it’s time to get the pastel colours out. My favourite colours at the moment has to be Tying The Knotie which is a really pale pink/hardly there shade. It’s gorgeous if you don’t want your nails to stand out from the crowd but don’t want them bare, it’s very neutral. My other favourite has to be Hubby For Dessert. I LOVE this shade. Instead of the pink, it’s more of a lilac shade and is again very pale ad you need to build it up, but the colour is gorgeous. I really love the hint of lilac that comes through. I have been using this one most weeks.

I have two favourite pinky Spring colours. One is high end and the other is drugstore. The first is a MAC lipstick called Long Legged and Fabulous. This is such a gorgeous baby pink colour. It is quite bright and very pigmented. The other is from Kate by Rimmel London in the shade 16. This is also a very bright pink shade, but it has more of a coral tone running through which I love. These 2 lipsticks are definitely a staple for me this Spring.

I thought I would also add in one of my new favourite Spring scents, this is a fragrance mist from Victoria’s Secret int eh scent Secret Escape. The scent is just heavenly. It smells very floral and fresh. I just spritz this over my clothes before I head out.
