Lancome are re-introducing their lipsticks created by the gorgeous Lisa Eldridge, and let me tell you, they are incredible.
This new lipstick range has packaging that I have never seen before. All you have to do is Click the Rose which is on top of the packaging, and your lipstick will pop out the bottom for you grab easily. It kind of feels like you have some really cool gadget in your hand that your going to whip out, but intact you’re just whipping out the lipstick, very impressive ey?
In the new range there are 36 different shades, so there will definitely be something for everyone. There are also three different finishes, Sheer, Matte and Cream. My favourite finish at he moment has to be matte but I got to try out one of the Sheer and Cream lipsticks from the range which I was super happy about.
The first lipstick is 202 Nuit & Jour in the sheer finish. When I first saw this colour, I thought it was gorgeous. Straight away I thought it was a very me shade. I am not normally a massive fan of sheer lipsticks, I found them sticky, too shiny and not enough colour. This lipstick is not sticky what so ever, it’s a gorgeous consistancy and feels so smooth on your lips. I did find you need to build the colour, as this is a really nude barely there shade, so it’s perfect for a natural look with a bit of shine. What I loved most about this lipstick, is how hydrating it is on your lips. It doesn’t leave your lips feeling sticky, but instead smooth and soft. This is perfect if you like a subtle tint of colour and shine.
Next is 368 rose which has a cream finish. When I first saw this shade, I instantly thought it was a red, the kind of red that reminds you of Christmas. So I was really surprised when I tested it, it came out like a a gorgeous fuchsia pink shade. The colour is so pigmented and I instantly fell in love with it. It is quite a bold statement lipstick, so perfect for a night out! The cream finish, I just love. It brings out the brightness and colour of the lipstick in one application, and just goes on so smoothly and easy to apply.
I really want to try out the matte finish ones as I think they would just suit me down to the ground.
I love this new range, especially the packaging of the products, they are just so gorgeous and stylish. What do you think of the new range? Also, how adorable are those Lancome macaroons!?
Love always, G x
