I honestly don’t know how I survived before liquid lipsticks were a real thing. They are by far my favourite product ever, that and highlighter, of course.
I had heard a lot about the Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipsticks, I had seen a lot of bloggers and YouTubers write and talk about them, but it was really hard for us girls in the UK to get our hands on Kat Von D products as they weren’t sold in the UK. But the makeup gods out there heard us and Debenhams started to sell Kat Von D. Yay!
The Debenhams in my town isn’t the great and is quite dated, so they still aren’t with the times and don’t sell Kat Von D (I hope they do soon, c’mon Debenhams!) But I stumbled across a beautiful Kat Von D counter in the Debenhams on Oxford Street. London always delivers!
I straight away headed towards their liquid lipsticks as I new what I wanted. The lipsticks are £16 each, which I don’t think is too bad for a good liquid lipstick. I picked one up in the shade Lolita 2. My Youtube and blogger friend Lauren also has this, and it looks so amazing on her, so I decided to pick it up for myself too.
I love the packaging of this product, it feels so sleek in your hands. I feel that the Kat Von D products have a more rocky and edgy feel to their products and the look of the brand, which I have to be honest, I wan’t sure about at first, as I was into the Too Faced pink & girly look. But it has grown on my and I think it is quite unique, and I can see any girl loving this packaging. Simple yet enough. It is actually quite a bit like the Kylie Lip Kits, with the clear plastic bottle with the black pattern on the top and bottom of the product.
The product itself is amazing. I love this shade of colour, it’s perfect for this time of the year. It is like a burnt orange/rust shade, and if you know me, you know I love my coral and orange tones lip products, so I instantly fell in love with this one.
The product glides on and dries almost instantly. This is great for me as I hate waiting for them to dry, and then they end up having like a sticky feel to it. This doesn’t leave your lips feeling sticky at all. It’s like you’re not even wearing any lipstick.
I wore this liquid lipstick all day in London, and I don’t think I re-applied this product once, it really doest stay on your lips, it didn’t even come off when I was eating&drinking. Amazing, right?
I feel like these lipsticks are an amazing dupe for the Kyle Cosmetics Lip Kits, and Lolita 2 is a very similar shade to the lip kit in Ginger. I think that’s why I love it so much, I didn’t think I would be able to find a better lip product than the Kylie lip kit, but here I am saying that Kat Von D’s everlasting liquid lipsticks are just as good, and even better. Who knew?!
What do you think of Kat Von D products? Is there a product I need to try?
Love always, G x
