Hello 2017 – What I Would like to Achieve

What a year 2016 has been. I’ve had some really good times, and not so good times… But this is the time of year to put all of that behind you, take what you’ve learnt form the year, and oh boy, I have learnt a lot form this year. It’s time to move on with your new goals and dreams. So here is a little post I have decided to put together to show you guys what I would like to achieve in 2017. I feel like it’s going to be a good year…

Be fit & healthy. I am sure this will be on everyones new years resolutions list. I have a really exciting project I am doing the start of 2017, which I will explain to you very soon! This project is really going to motivate me to keep me fit and healthy, and lose all of this Christmas weight (and more!) I know I say it every year, but this year is the one.

Get a dog. Some of you who follow me may know that this year we had to put our gorgeous dog Lilly down, she was just a little old lady and did so well. We miss her an awful lot and she can never be replaced. Were such a dog loving household that our family isn’t complete without a dog. So this year me and my mum are starting to save for a dog, a Basset Hound! They are the perfect dog for our situation at home, so I am super excited. We will be getting a puppy, aww! The only questions is, when?

Go on holiday. My boyfriend and I are on a real spending ban, were trying to be really careful with our money as we started saving for a house this year. Because of this we didn’t really go on a holiday this year, and I really missed it! So in 2017 we decided that we will definitely go on holiday. We don;t know where yet, just somewhere hot, with a beach and a swimming pool will be perfect.

Keep saving. That brings me onto this next resolution. Keep saving. Were doing so well with our savings and hopefully by the end of 2017, we will be very nearly there to start house hunting, which makes me so excited. I can’t wait for the day we start to g round looking at houses and buying all house bits. Pinterest will be my best friend for 2017.

Up my blogging/Youtube game. I really want to concentrate on my blog and youtube channel for 2017. Make it the best I possibly can, as I feel like its stuck in a ruck at the moment, and I am finding it difficult to get out. With this I would love to meet more people who do it, go to more events and just take a lot more risks with it. It is my favourite hobby and my dream to make it the best it can be. Watch this space.

Concentrate on me. This year I have noticed that I am the type of person who tries to please everyone around me. I’ve noticed it at work, with my friends and just everyone I am around. It’s great to please other people, but you have to think about yourself sometimes, and I am going to focus on doing this in 2017. The best way to make other people around you happy, is to be happy yourself.

What are your new years resolutions? At the end of 2017 I will look back to this post, to check i have done these things. Hopefully the answer will be yes.

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and all your dreams come true.

Love always, G x

Sounds like you have some great goals! So sorry to hear about your Lilly, losing a pet really is the saddest thing. However, I’m sure a puppy would do a lot of good (and by no means a replacement!). We got a puppy this year and she’s honestly the best thing in the world! I love her!
