5 things to do at the weekend that don’t cost too much

I am one of those people who is forever trying to save money, but now more than ever as my boyfriend and I are currently saving for a place of our own (and were so close!)

So, I have been trying to be very careful with my spendings, especially at the weekend as this is when I am spending allllllll my money! But I hate not doing anything at the weekend. I am always wanting to do something, so if you’re trying to save like me, I though I would share 5 things which you can do at the weekend which doesn’t cost a bomb.

THE BEACH

My first option is the beach. I know this is more just for summer, but even in winter it’s quite nice to have all the fresh air and walk along the beach. Really the only spending you will do is if you fancy a cheeky little ice-cream whilst you’re there. The beach is always free and available.

GARDEN CENTRES

If you’re secretly and old granny like me, then I;m sure you love garden centres too? They are the best places to go! You can go anytime of the years and they always have different displays. Of course Halloween and Christmas are my fave, as the displays they put on are just incredible. Also if you have kids in your family, they are great as they often have little train rides and activities for them. Garden centres are definitely one of my faves.

PAMPER DAY

This is one of the best things to do if you ask me. Some people may find it boring, but I love a good pamper day. A day to catch up on all your favourite TV programmes/Youtube videos or whatever you like watching! Then to start pampering…You can paint your nails, were face masks, put hair treatment in. Just have a you day. This doesn’t cost you anything as you aren’t actually leaving your house!

PICNIC

Picnic’s are so cute. You can put together a few of your favourite drinks and snacks, gather a few of your girl friends, or boyfriend and head off to a pretty little park and sit and chill with your food & good company. I love just chilling with the people close to me and having a proper gossip and catch up.

FRUIT PICKING

I actually haven’t done this is so long, but it’s one of my favourite things to do! You can really do this any time of year and pick anything like strawberries, blueberries, and even pumpkins in Autumn! Again it’s something you can do with great company and is completely free, yay!

What do you love doing at the weekend?

Love always, G x

I love a nice picnic in the sunshine! Nothing nicer than getting some yummy food and sitting outside somewhere green and scenic. Good luck with saving up for your house! It will be well worth it x
