A Day Out In Brentwood

I love having a best friend that is also a blogger. My best friend Kirsty and I decided to have a day together, and we decided to go to Brentwood. Brentwood is about 40 minutes from us, so it isn’t a million miles away which is nice as we didn’t want to go the same town we always go to, it gets a bit boring going to the same shops all the time!

Kirsty and myself work together, that’s how we became friends. And after a while it was more like sisters than friends, we were inseparable. We are so similar, have the same personality and love the same things.Everyone at work always comments on how alike we are and how were always together, like there is a string of rope in-between us. After dragging Kirsty along to our first ever blogger meet up in Suffolk a few weeks back, she loved the experience and decided to become a blogger too, and she loves it! Now I feel so lucky to have my best friend also doing what I love, and having something else in common.

My look for today I feel was quite casual with a bright lip, I wore the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in In Love With Ginger. I love this colour for autumn days, I normally fall for the nuder shades so this was a bit daring for me. I also took a couple of essentials on a typical autumnal day, my bobble hat, lipstick, hand cream and a mini hand gel, and I was ready to go!

We decided we would make our day into a blogging day together. We didn’t mange to get many pictures though unfortunately as the weather was just awful! Wind swept, wet and cold. Not the perfect combination for a blogger. But we did have a really good day together. Our first stop was Starbucks (sad there wasn’t a Costa nearby) and were so happy see they now serve all their hot drinks in Red Cups just for Christmas time. We both decided to go for the Honey&Almond Hot Chocolate, which was devine.

We then had a look around the shops, our first stop was Superdrug. Dangerous decision. We spent quite a lot of time in there browsing the make-up isles, and as there was a 3 for 2 offer on all make-up and beauty, we couldn’t resist! Here is what I picked up:

Make-Up Revolution Flawless Palette

LOreal ParisPinks Collection colour Riche Naomi

Essie Nail Polish in Fifth Avenue

Organix Coconut Oil

Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Berry Picking

The candle I bought from Sainsburys and is in the scent passion flower & mango. It basically just smells of sweets, in particular Starburst, and it’s amazing! (£6)

We went to a few more shops, but I didn’t find much in them, But I was happy with my make-up purchases. We did go past an amazing furniture shop which was covered in gorgeous Christmas decorations, I think it was called Twist. I just had to take a picture of the christmas decs!

As our feet were starting to hurt and the rain was still pouring, we decided it was time to head home. We came back to my house, watched a few Christmas films and ordered a Chinese. it was a lovely chilled evening to a good day shopping.

We said that we would arrange another blogging day together soon and hopefully the weather won’t be cruel to us so we can actually take some proper blogging pictures. I love that Kirsty is now a blogger, we have even more in common now than ever.
