Best Trip in the World – Las Vegas!

Back in August it was my boyfriends 21st birthday. I wanted to do something so amazing and so special for him as I thought he derived the every best! So I got planning… I spoke to his parents and we all decided that we would take him to the place that he has always dreamt of going too, and what better way to celebrate your 21st birthday than to go to Las Vegas!!!

Yes, that’s right! Ryan’s birthday is in August, so back in December I started to get organised and plan what to do, and when we finally came to the compulsion to go to Las Vegas, we booked it straight away as we thought it was a good deal what we found. So that it was it, it was booked by January. The only problem was that we have to keep it for a secret for 7 months! I really don’t know how we did that, I think everyone close to us knew that we had booked it so I was super worried that someone would spill the beans, but they didn’t which was amazing! So Ryan found out in August where we were taking him and I think he was pretty speechless, then it was time to shop and plan and get ready for take off!

We booked to spend 5 nights in the Planet Hollywood Hotel in the middle of the strip, it was a great location, the Bellagio hotel was basically opposite. Our room was on the 10th floor, we didn’t have an amazing view but we weren’t that worried as we would hardly be in the rooms apart form to sleep.

Everyday day and evening we were busy, getting up at the crack of dawn and going back to bed in the middle of the night to make sure we got everything done, in the city that never sleeps! We did some amazing things like see a show(Cirque Du Solei- Mystere), ride in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon and land inside for a picnic (incredible!!) and even just the little things that try to go into all the different hotels that you could as they are all themed and are totally different. My favourite hotels have to be The Bellagio, The Venetian and New York New York.

It’s really difficault to explain in writing, just how amazing Las Vegas was. I would like to think that I will remember our trip there for the rest of our lives, and I would like to think that one day we would be able to go back there for a special occasion again as there was still so much to see. Apparently if you kept going to Las Vegas every 3 years, there would be something completely new. So I definitely would like to go back in the future when I am older. A lot of people might say that 21 was a really young age to go, and it’s somewhere that you should go when your in your 40’s/50’s. Yes I agree that you should go at that age as you would see it in a whole new perspective. But I am also really glad that we did go at our age. We were old enough to do everything we water, we could gamble and go clubbing and were just allowed to be somewhere without being too young. We saw it as a whole different world.

Someone explained it to me as it’s like Disneyworld but for adults. They aren’t wrong. Everyone should try to go if they can at least once in their lifetime. There is something out there for everyone, even kids if you do take them along! It’s one of the best highlights in my life so far.

Have you been to Las Vegas, or would like to go? Let me know I would love to chat about the experience.

Love always, G x
