TAG: Festive Favourites

I love every single thing about Christmas, and with only 2 more sleeps and a tag from the lovely Lucy Loves I decided to join in on the festivity and do the Festive Tag.

  1. Favourite Christmas smell?
This is a really tough one for me as I love so many different scents at Christmas. My two favourites have to be the smell of the Christmas tree, and gingerbread. Nothing else smells quite like a Christmas tree, and well…who doesn’t love the smell of gingerbread?
  2. Gingerbread or Candy Canes?
Gingerbread. My friend and I thought it would be a great idea to try and build a gingerbread house this year. Bad idea, as we totally sucked and it fell into pieces straight away. It didn’t stop us form eating it though! Candy Canes are cute to look at and looks all festive, but yuck, don’t like eating them.
  3. Real or fake tree?
This has 100% have to be real. We have had a real tree from what I can remember all my life. It adds to the fun of Christmas! I love going to the garden centre to pick out the perfect tree and some new decorations to go with it.

  4. Quality street or Roses?
I am not too fussy when it comes to chocolate.. I love a little from each tin. The coffee flavoured chocolates in the Roses tin are the best, and so are the green triangles in Quality Street.Yum.
  5. Dress up or down on December 25th?
I tend to dress up on Christmas day, it’s an excuse to wear sequins and that new red lips you just opened. Of course I go downstairs and unwrap presents with the family in my jammies though, it’s tradition!
  6. Do you have any festive traditions?
I don’t think we actually have any traditions in our family. I do know that we always have a fry up for breakfast before we do anything that day, which is a good enough tradition for me!
  7. Any embarrassing christmas moments that come to mind?
When I was a lot younger, I had a really big box to unwrap. My dad joked around and said that if I didn’t hurry up then a man would jump out of the box, so then I was terrified to open it and cried! Oh dear…
  8. Do you wake up early or late on Christmas day?
Early. There is no doubt about it I will always wake up early. Maybe too early. Mum has a rule now that I am not allowed to go and jump on her bed until it is at least 7am. So I normally wake up at about 6am and just wait until 7am. I am such a big kid at Christmas!
  9. Where do you hang your stocking?
I hang my stocking on the end of my bed. So in the night Santa will come a fill it up with little presents and in the morning it will be full up and I would go into my mum’s room and open them with her on her bed. I have been doing this since I was about 3, it will never get old.
  10. Favourite festive films?
love Christmas films. I have lots of favourites and they have to be The Polar Express, Elf, Jack Frost, The Snowman, Arthur Christmas and The Grinch.
  11. Best gift as a child.
I think my favourite gift has to be when I got my bike. I had only just learnt how to ride my bike without any stabilisers so I was desperate for a bike and told santa how much it would mean to me to get one.
  12. What is on top of your Christmas tree?
We have a massive snowflake, it looks so cute.
  13. Favourite Festive food
I think it has to be the chocolate yule log and cheese board. Just everything! Food at Christmas is always 10 times nicer than your normal roast dinner. Don’t forget the stuffing…
  14. Favourite Christmas activity?
I just love spending time with my family and the people I love over Christmas. I also love having a break from work and having time to do what I want and just, relax for a little while.

Please feel free to also for the Festive Tag and send me your links. I love to know what everyone gets up too over Christmas time.

Have a good one, and Merry Chritmas!

Love always, G x
