Its official, Christmas and New Year are now over, which means one thing. It’s nearly time to get back to work! I like where I work, it’s not too far away and I have made from great friends there. Just the thought of going back, having no more lay ins and getting into a routine again just sounds, has work. Are you with me? So I have thought of a few things which might get you back in the swing of life, and out of the Christmas/Holiday routine.
De-clutter and organise. I did this yesterday, and I feel so much better for it. I cleared out my who entire wardrobe and threw away all the pieces of clothing that I won’t wear anymore as I don’t have a lot of storage space for my clothes. The only problem is, now I feel like I need a whole new wardrobe.(starts looking on online clothing shops…) Tidying really helps clear my mind and getting ready for a new start, bring on 2016.
After drinking lots of champagne, prosecco, bucks fizz and dissorano, I really need to get back into drinking healthy. Start your new year off by drinking lots of water. I also drink quite a lot of squash as I am not really a massive fan of water. I am really loving Raspberry&Orange at the moment by Robinsons, it’s sweet and fresh! Exactly what I need for the new year.
Try and get back into your normal sleeping routine. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have now got the worst sleeping pattern. I now can only get to sleep from 12.30am-1am, and I won’t wake up until about 10.30am-11am. This is form going to bed late for a few nights in a row, now I can’t get out of the habit! Going to have to get up for work at 6.30am on Monday is going to be a tough one… So try and get your routine back to normal as soon as you can.
Try to exercise more. I know, I know, it’s only just been new year and I am talking about exercise. I don;t mean going to the gym everyday. Start off small. I love going for little walks in the cold with a big coat one, scarf and hat and just having some fresh air. This will give you that little bit of extra energy and keep you going until you go to work. Try it and I can guarantee you will start to feel healthier in yourself.
Do something relaxing. Try to relax before you get back into the swing of work again. For me, working on my blog is the most relaxing thing I can do. either that or watch my favourite YouTubers. Let your brain have a rest before you go back to work, all the excitement of Christmas and New Year can really ware you out.
