I find that the ‘No Make-Up’ make-up look is every girls go-to look. As I work full time, I really struggle to wake-up in enough time to be able to do a full face of make-up, so I always go for this look. I find that instead of hiding away your natural beauty, this kind of look just enhances it.
So I started off with the base, instead of a high coverage foundation I used Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB cream. This creates a really subtle glowy tint with SPF to keep your skin safe and fresh. Once I applied that, I then went over all my dark areas and red blemishes (which I have a lot off as you can see) with the amazing Rimmel Lasting Finish concealer. I swear by this concealer, it has such a high coverage and is really easy to blend in with your base. To make myself a lot less shiny and more matt, I use Soap and Glory’s One Heck of a Blot, which is just a transparent powder to get rid of the shine. I love this, it works a treat. Just to add a little bit of colour to my cheeks, but not too much, I used MAC Immortal Flower blush, which I actually purchased on Depop for quite a bargain! This is just a lovely soft pinky/peach shade just to give you that little bit of colour.
Next for my eyes, I always like to wear eyeshadow, even if you can’t really see it. I just feel so bare and naked without any, so I normally opt for MAC’s paint pot in Vintage Selection which is just a really natural shimmery beige/bronze colour. I love MAC’s paint pots, and this one is so close to empty I love it. They are also great for a undercoat or primer for powder eyeshadow. Next is the mascara, just a little bit of mascara can make you look wide awake and that you actually know what’s going on. Of course I use Benefit’s RollerLash. It is the best mascara I have ever used. I know it’s quite pricey but it is so worth it, I have purchased this a couple of times now as I just can’t bare not to have it now. I apply my mascara on the top lashes, and also a little bit on the bottom too. Of course I do have to make my eyebrows a little more presentable, I use Maybelline’s Brow Saton in dark blonde. just to shape my eyebrows and fill them in a little, it’s the perfect match for me.
Last but not least, the lips. What is more natural than Benefit’s Posie Balm? I love this lip balm, it gives you just the right amount of shine and pinkness for a natural look and it moisturises your lips too!
I hope you like the simple make-up look, it’s perfect for everyday and it’s too much. Let me know if you re-create this look, what are your favourite products to use for natural makeup?
Love always, G x
