I have been trying to search for a decent drugstore foundation for years. After purchasing Nars Sheer Glow a couple of months ago, I fell absolutely in love with it. But as it is a high price of £30 a bottle I didn’t want to use it everyday, so my search began for a drugstore foundation.
I had tried the usual L’Oreal True Match, Rimmel London Matte and Max Factor Miracle Touch. But I never really loved any of them. I realised that I had never tried the Bourgeois foundations so when I went to have a look what they had, I was pleased to see that they had a vary to choose from. I know this is going to sound really silly, but I had heard a lot of good things about Bourgeois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mis Foundation, but I just didn’t like the packaging… I know that sound so bad! Below them was the City Radiance Foundation which caught my eye instantly. The packaging was really pretty, a light pink with dark pink & silver writing (very girly, which I loved!) I also noticed that they were almost sold out, which told me it must be good! So I switched it on my hand to find the right colour which ended up being 03 light beige, and hey presto! I had found my foundation.
I am always weary buying a new foundation as it never looks the same colour on your face than it does on the back of your hand, but when I applied it, it blended really well with my skin tone. I apply it with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush which works really well, and if I want an even flawless look I will go over it with my blending sponge. I has a medium-high coverage which means it hides all of my scars and blemishes (yay!)
I have worn it everyday this week and I feel it lasts all day, without coming off or going patchy, which is really hard to find in a cheaper foundation these days! I also find that a lot of drugstore foundations turn orange as they day goes on, but not this one! It says true to it’s colour, and with a price of £9.99, I think it’s amazing. I will definitely be going back to this now I have discovered it. Thank you Bourjois Paris!
What is your favourite drugstore foundation, have you tried this one?
Love always, G x
