I have only recently heard about the craze for the new Rosie for Autograph trend, when I read a couple of reviews on their new launch I instantly fell in love. The packaging reminded me a lot of Charlotte Tilbury make-up, with the rose gold packaging. I mean who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold in their make-up bag?! So when my mum told me she was just going to pop into town, I asked her to pick me up one of the lipsticks to try.
I asked mum to pick me up any lipstick as I wasn’t worried about the shade too much, but I am so so happy with the one she picked up for me! It is in the shade Rose Lace, it’s such a gorgeous nude/pink/peachy shade which is just perfect for spring and summer coming up.
I love the application, it just slides onto your lips like silk and has a lovely shine finish to it. The texture reminds me of the Mac Cosmetic lipsticks in cremesheen which are one of my favourites. The lipstick itself has a small imprint of a rose which really caught my eye, it’s a nice touch and makes the product feel a lot more high end and thought about than drugstore lipsticks.
At first I thought the lipsticks were a bit pricey at £14 a pop, as Mac lipsticks are £15 and Mac are a lot more high end. But after actually owning one, wearing it and the feel of the packaging, it is totally worth the £14. I really want to get a few other colours, they have quite a lot of different shades of nude which I am loving now it’s getting into spring and summer.
I am really pleased with the overall look, feel and wear of this product, I am definitely going to pick some more products up. I would love to try one of the eyeshadow quads as the colours looks gorgeous.
What do you think about the Rosie for Autograph range? Is it worth the hype?
Love always, G x
