My Holy Grail Products of 2016

Throughout 2016 I found some some new products which I was loving, hating and also some re-discoveries from my younger years. I thought I would share with you my top product picks form 2016, which I think is quite a bold statement to make as I have been loving so many products recently.

To start with make-up, There has been one bronzer which really stood out to me and worked a dream. Hoola bronzer my Benefit. This is probably my number1 product of 2016, just because as soon as I tried it, I knew it was a life changer and I have used it everyday since purchasing it. IF you’re looking for the perfect bronzer, this is definitely the one.

Next were onto eyeshadow. 2016 was the year I really got into my eyeshadows and experimented with different shades and effects. I received the Chocolate Bon Bon palette by Too Faced easier in the year for my birthday, and I was blown away with the colours in the palette and the pigmentation. This was definitely my go-to eyeshadow palette of the year. I now have a collection of eyeshadow palettes I can’t wait to experiment with.

Highlighter. Highlighter is my favourite makeup product i the whole world, you just can’t get enough. For me, it’s really hard to pick just one as I love loads of them, but the Mary-Lou-Manizer by TheBalm has hands down been top of the list. I love the pigmentation of this and the glow it gives you, is just gorgeous. The best thing about it is that it lasts all day long. I always get compliments whenever I wear this and I have recommended it to so many people now, who also love it as much as I do.

Ok, when it comes to mascara, lets not mess about because I think we all know that the Lash Sensational mascara by Maybelline is one of the best mascaras out there. It is a massive dupe for Benefits Roller Lash, this is also incredible, but for less than half the price of it, you can just a just as good one. I have seen so many people rave about this product and I think we still will be for a long time in 2017.

For the brows, I have been absolutely loving the micro brow pencil from NYX. I feel like this product has absolutely saved my eyebrows. I think I have orb ably purchased more than 6 of these this year. I just can’t find anything that matches up to it yet.

The beauty blender from Real Techniques has been a life saver. It’s perfect to smooth out those little creases in your make-up, especially under the eye. I think almost every girl has one of these, so I don’t need t ramble on about it. Just know that it is a lifesaver, and I couldn’t do without it.

As for my favourite hair product. Invisi Bobbles have saved my hair. Yes they look odd, but I think we can get over that as they do wanders for your hair, No pulling, no kinks = perfection. I also find they holder your hair in a pony tail much better without pulling your hair so your head hurts. If you haven’t got any, go and try them.

Now for skincare, I have a couple of products which have said my skin. First is Glow Tonic by PIXI. This stuff is amazing and I have repurchased this a couple of times. It really helps smooth my skin and leave it feeling fresh ready for the day ahead.

Also, the Miceller Water by Garnier has saved my skin. I still use make-up wipes. I know, I know, slap me know. But once I’ve used a make-up wipe I will go over my face with a cotton wool pad with micellar water on to get the excess off, which I can tell you is always quite a lot. It really satisfied me knowing that I have got that extra excess off my face, leaving it clean and fresh for the morning.

My last holy grail of 2016, is a self tanning product. The gradual tanning milk by Bondi Sands. This stuff is incredible. I wanted to find a gradual tanner that didn’t leave me looking streaky or orange, and this is the one. The tan builds up really quickly so give you a really nice natural bronzed look. IF you don’t want it anymore, after a few washed it will be off again. It’s perfect for a hit of fake tan, and can also be used on your face too, I love by this stuff.

So they are my holy grail items of 2016, what are yours? I can’t wait to try out more in 2017 and maybe have some new holy grail items to get my hands on.

Hope you have a very happy new year!

Love always, G x

I really love posts like these. I’m always interested to see what people love using! I completely agree about the hoola bronzer! One thing that you mentioned that I’ve been dying to try is the glow tonic and the bobbles. Also, I used to use the same brow pencil, but I really like the Beverly HIls Anastasia brow wiz, and I really suggest you try it! I hope you have a happy new year xxxx
