My Valentines Make-Up

Whether you love valentines day or hate valentines day, you still want to get dressed up and look nice, right?! My boyfriend and I went out for a really nice meal this weekend at the Blue Anchor in Feering – which if you haven’t been too and are near to it, you need to check it out, the food was absolutely gorgeous.

I decided to make the most of this opportunity and get a little dressed up. I love getting ready and doing my makeup – to a lot of people it’s a chore, but I absolutely love it.

As we were going for a meal I didn’t want to go too OTT. For the base, I tried the new L’Oreal Infallible total cover concealer palette. OMG I fell in love straight away. This has 5 different concealer shades for brightening and hiding your dark and red blemishes. The texture is so creamy and really blends into your skin so well.

For foundation I used my trusty Lancome Cushion foundation, which I use for special occasions and it’s a great coverage without being too cakey. Then onto contouring and highlight, I received the Zoeva Rose Golden blush palette for Christmas. I haven’t heard many people rave about this product, but now I’ve discovered it I don’t think I can go back to anything else. The contour shade is the perfect colour for my skin and blended in so well, then I used the highlight shade to highlight my eyebrows and also put a little bit in the inner corner of my eyes to brighten them a little bit more.

For my highlight, I used the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz which is the gorgeous bronze/prinky highlight – perfect for Valentines day!

Then onto my eyebrows, I always use an eyebrow pencil and at the moment I have the Soap & Glory’s Archery, which I have also used before and works amazingly, it just fills out your brows and shapes them exactly how you want them too.

Next is onto eyes – I used my trusty Too Faced Bon Bon palette as this has the perfect pinky shades which I wanted to use for Valentines day.

I recently bought the Too faced Better Than Sex Mascara, as I had heard so much about it – but I was so stuck to my Maybelline Lash Sensational. But I am so glad I purchased this as it’s such am amazing mascara. I tend to use this one at the weekends as it’s a little more expensive, then I use my Maybelline Lash Sensational during the day for work.
I know you have seen me use this all the time, but for my eyeliner I used the Lancome Grandiose Liner which you may already know, is my favourite eyeliner ever. I am a bit sad though as it is starting to run out! – nooo!

Now onto lips, I used my favourite Charlotte Tilbury lip duo. The lipstick in Sexy Siena and the liner in Pink Venus, these two go together perfect and create such an amazing lip look.

Last but not least, is the perfume I wore- Viktor and Rolf Bon Bon. This is by far my favourite perfume ever.

Fir my outfit, as it’s still freezing outside I decided to wear my trusty velvet playsuit from Lipsy, which I love so much, I have got so much wear out of this winter it was definitely a staple for me. I just paired this with a pair of tights and little black boots for a simple but classy look.

Love always, G x
